我要去business trip一周左右，想打电话给保险company suspend auto insurance，
对方说如
果我有rental car，最好keep 一个auto insurance，这样可以cover rental car，是
这样吗？

如果我suspend所有car的policy，我的rental car是不是就要重新买rental car
insurance了？谢谢

If you cancel it, you will pay more later because of coverage gap. Besides,
some states require insurance even the car is not in use, unless you un-
register your car...

保险不能Suspend吧？你尽管不开，可万一被冰雹砸了，或者发生其他的意外，还是需
要保险处理的吧？

Why bother canceling auto insurance just because of one week of business
trip? You are not going to save much insurance premium.

你撞了别人，liability管别人的车/医疗各种损失

我和ls一位一样回国一个月也是suspend，其实就是停车库里不开，因为我们州没有保
险是要求unregistered的

你的车保险不管rental car，但是管你租车的liability。不然你在租车的时候需要单
独买一个liability保险，一般是waive的。

I guess you changed/lowered coverage, not suspend. Maybe Louzi's "suspend"
means lower converge... haha...

一般情况下有个liability waiver，就是车行不提供保险，出了事你自己负责。在你有
自己保险的时候，一旦出事，自己保险管liability的

Yes, you should keep your own insurance to cover your liability (and maybe
the rental car, depends on your policy) during your rental.
